Palmanova & Magaluf
Palmanova & Magaluf, in the municipality of Calvia, Majorca, boasts one of the most varied and extensive tourism offers on the island.
During the winter months, and thanks to its warm climate (averaging 13ºC), it is the ideal place for senior citizens, cultural visitors and sports fans to rest. 300 days of sun a year allows the organization and staging of important tournaments such as the Magaluf international marathon, sailing, tennis, rugby, athletics or football, all of them with guaranteed success.
Its magnificent sports facilities make the area an ideal destination for lovers of exercise and active tourism, with three golf courses, athletics tracks and rugby pitches, both officially approved, a football pitch with natural grass and another one with artificial grass, tennis clubs, paddle courts, cycle routes, and a go-kart track
This resort is a firm favourite, with its splendid seafront promenade and its long sandy beaches. A great place to stroll, enjoying feeling the shade of its wooded areas and enjoying protected green zones and the sea breeze.
Without doubt, the most famous resort in the Calvià area. It has a long, sandy beach which is ideal for a refreshing dip or for practising all sorts of water sports. Surprisingly, one can still find the remains of the old salt plains known as “Las salinas del salobral”. This area is also home to a rather unique local plant called Limmonium magallufiarum.
On the outskirts of Palmanova, this residencial and tourist area boasts a small, peaceful cove, several hotels and a variety of restaurants and shops.
This lively area is between Palmanova and Magaluf. It enjoys some great views of the bay.
This is a quiet area where lovers of peace and quiet will find several small coves to rest their weary bones.
